On December 16 2016 Sydney Thunder played a Bangladesh Cricket Board XI at Spotless Stadium, Sydney Olympic Park in a Twenty20 warmup match. For Bangladesh it was preparation for their tour of New Zealand, for the Thunder it was a pre-season game for BBL06.
The game was heavily promoted among Sydney’s Bangladeshi community and approximately 6000 people turned up on this Friday evening. It followed another warmup game between the BCB XI and the Sydney Sixers at North Sydney Oval the previous Wednesday.

Bangladesh 8/122(20). Didn't cope early with the slow track but at least they have a defendable total.
